On a trip to Mexico a year into his own recovery, Sober World Travel owner and tour guide, Eric Humbert, was directly confronted with the challenge of staying sober on vacation. The bombardment of triggers was shocking: From the airport to the endless bars to the beach, alcohol was endlessly available. Add in all those “street vendors” loudly peddling even stronger substances, and the constant temptation turned inescapable. He even looked for other sober people and couldn’t find any!

You can probably guess what happened. Some sober “vacation.”

Afterward, Eric discovered that sober tours aren’t just rare, the kind of sober trips he craved didn’t even exist!

Sober World Travel is born.

Our sober trips won’t take you to the same-old, same-old. We take you to places filled with adrenaline, excitement, laughter, exotic flavors, unique sights and brand new experiences.
