Right now we do not have any more trips booked in 2010. We look forward to booking trips in 2011, so please do sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page.
All travelers must be over the age of twelve, have 90 days clean and sober and be stable. While we provide a nurturing environment to make vacationing (and staying clean and sober) enjoyable, we are not offering treatment from addiction. We will hold optional daily recovery meetings, but will not be available for individual or crisis counseling.
Travelers who are accompanying friends and family of a recovering addict, but may not be addicts themselves, must still be sensitive to, and respectful of, our strict no-drinking policy.
We take sobriety very seriously and are committed to the group’s safety. Any traveler who consumes alcohol or drugs will be immediately removed from the group and driven to a safe location such as the nearest airport or hospital. At the point of drop-off, Sober World Travel ceases to be responsible for the traveler(s) and no refunds are given.
If you have a disability, or will require special attention, please contact us before booking. We make every effort to follow ADA regulations, however some, if not all, of our trips include some form of physical activity such as walking, hiking, swimming, rafting, etc. Depending on the nature of the disability or medical condition, travelers may be able to join us on the trip and opt out of certain activities. We cannot, though, guarantee that our (or third party) transportation will be equipped for wheelchairs or medical equipment. Our insurance does not permit our tour guides to offer more than basic assistance - such as carrying luggage. Therefore, when appropriate, travelers must have a companion for assistance.
